This Is What He Thinks Of YOU

He even "wrote" an opinion piece about: The GOP doesn't reflect America. Of course its all a bunch of horse crap, using the same old liberal talking points about women earning less than men and the rich getting richer on the backs of everyone else.

That "L" needs to be permanently tatooed to his forehead.

Coining A New Phrase

Lawyers are "ambulance chasers" and now Democrats are "camera chasers."

Bush's earlier comment, aired Monday in a pre-taped television interview, that "I don't think you can win" the war on terror. That had Democrats running for the cameras to criticize Bush for being defeatist and flip-flopping from previous predictions of victory.
(emphasis mine)

Pretty good, eh?

Can The War On Terror Be Won?

In an interview, President Bush suggested that the War on Terror isn't winnable.

Does anyone in their right mind (besides democrats, because we all know they aren't in their right minds this week), does ANYONE in their right mind really think that Bush means what the democrats are trying to imply about his statement? I mean come one, really?

Does anyone think OBL is going to sign a peace treaty with us? Do you think he'll just give up, or hide for as long as he's alive? THINK ABOUT IT!

Hmm, there's actually more peace and less war in Bush's term as compared to the Clinton 90s.

"Call on this group to cease and desist," they wrote.

Cleland said Bush "owes it to every soldier and veteran in the nation to stop condoning their smears through his silence."

No, I think we owe it to every soldier and veteran to let these men have their say in public. Why is Kerry trying to silence them? And why is Bush being blamed for this? SBVFT is an independent organization and it's illegal for Bush or the GOP to be affiliated with them.

It's just going to get uglier folks.

Bush Criticizes Anti-Kerry Television Ad

Um no he didn't. Not specifically anyway.

He condemned all 527's, not the SBVFT ads, and I think the media is trying to portray this as a win for Kerry. All I've heard today is about how Bush criticized the Swift Vet ads, but when you listen or read deeper into the story, you hear the truth. And of course, the democrats can't give him credit OR EVEN DO WHAT HE DID!

While Kerry and Democrats have demanded that Bush condemn the attack on his war record, the president has been targeted by an estimated $60 million in commercials by outside groups since the campaign began.

Kerry has declined to call for an end to those ads, which helped him at a time when he did not have the funds to compete with Bush' campaign advertising budget.

They talk out of both sides of their mouths.

Who Would Jesus Vote For?
Religion Experts Ask How Jesus Would Vote

This is absurd.

If Jesus was my age, and just beginning his ministry in the 21st century rather than the 1st, would he be concerned about voting or saving the lost? And I really don't think Jesus ever would have thought that the government could be relied upon to help needy people. His message was simple: Follow me.

Not GWB or JFKerry. Follow JESUS CHRIST. Everything else is meaningless. No one else can help you.

So if you have a choice between the "Prince of Peace", "Son of God", "Light of the World", or a cowboy from Texas or a Massachusetts liberal, who should you choose?

Voting really is meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

Some Of These Are Really Good

First Annual John Kerry Fan Fiction Contest over at Mudville Gazette: Christmas '68

Kerry's Latest Flip-Flop

Cambodia -- Did He Lie to the U.S. Senate?

Instapundit links to an article pointing out that even Kerry's surrogates are confused.

The Kerry campaign responded, initially, that Mr Kerry had always said he was "near" Cambodia. Then a campaign aide said Mr Kerry had been in the Mekong Delta "between" Vietnam and next-door Cambodia - a geographical zone not found on maps, which show the Mekong river running from Cambodia to Vietnam.

Michael Meehan, a Kerry campaign adviser, told ABC Television: "The Mekong Delta consists of the border between Cambodia and Vietnam, so on Christmas Eve in 1968, he was in fact on patrol . . . in the Mekong Delta between Cambodia and Vietnam. He was ambushed, they fired back, he was fired upon from both sides, from the Cambodian side of the border and the Vietnam side during that day in 1968."

Emphasis mine.

I've found an even more detailed map that shows that the Mekong River runs into Vietnam from Cambodia, and not along the border where Kerry's claim of being shot at by both sides could hold water.

More Terror Clues

Bin Laden hints major assassination

Sounds like we learned too much for al Queda to safely carry out their plans. I know this article says the identities and locations of terror suspects are unknown here in the U.S., but I just have to think they are watching some people very closely. Not wanting them to know they are being watched. We've got some of the most sophisticated surveilance equipment in the world at our disposal, and we're up against a rag tag band of thugs. They're good at being terrorists, but I'm sure their not that good at hiding from the black helicopters.

One other thing that caught my attention:
"'The goal of the next attack is twofold: to damage the U.S. economy and to undermine the U.S. election,' the official said. 'The view of al Qaeda is 'anybody but Bush.' '"

Republican-funded Group Attacks Kerry's War Record

First of all, the title is just wrong. Does it matter who funded the group? Do you really, honestly, think any Democrat would fund the group?

With that out of the way, they do a decent job of looking into the "facts" of this mess. In the end, they don't really help either side:
At this point, 35 years later and half a world away, we see no way to resolve which of these versions of reality is closer to the truth.

Looks like Kerry's going to have this hanging around his neck for as long as he uses Vietnam as a campaign theme.

Re: Taxes and Revenue 101

Joshua Claybourn has a nice little piece on the effects of taxes on government revenues. In it, he points out that not all tax decreases will increase revenues, which is correct if you hold to Arthur Laffer's supply-side theories summarized in his famous Laffer Curve. The question is, at what point of the curve are we on now?

I don't think the government should be in the business to maximize revenues and I also think that spending is out of control. Why don't we kill two birds with one stone and just cut spending. Then we wouldn't have to worry about maximizing revenues, just cutting taxes.

Besides, the maximum rate would constantly be fluctuating depending upon the economic outlook and moods of consumers. The tax rate would have to be optimized just like interest rates are by the Feds. I don't think our current system could handle that.

Terror Info Is Old So We Won't Listen To Any Warnings

Pre-9/11 Acts Led To Alerts

I don't know if this is denial, or the normal anti-Bush spin in the media. Considering Howard Dean's comments yesterday about the Bush admin. politicizing the terror warning system, I think its the latter.

We know from 9/11 investigations that al-Queda plans their attacks years in advance, so its no surprise that they already had cased-out their targets. We learned a few weeks ago that al-Queda wants to strike us before the November elections. Combine that information with the specific target analysis found in Pakistan and I think its a wise plan to inform the public and heighten security.

If the media can discredit Bush, even at the expense of our safety, I think they jump at the chance. They are in full campaign coverage mode* and they won't let some stupid Bush lackeys distract the public from John Kerry's message.

* Haven't you noticed that everything Bush does has to have a Kerry response in the news coverage?

More World Leaders Said There Were WMDs In Iraq

Along with Tony Blair and Vladimir Putin, Tommy Franks tells us that two more world leaders thought Saddam had WMDs.

"The biggest surprise for him was that they've found no weapons of mass destruction (WMD), the 'reason we went to war.' He says multiple Middle Eastern leaders, including Jordan's King Abdullah and Egypt's Hosni Mubarak, told Franks that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. In January 2003, Mubarak said point blank to Franks, 'Saddam has WMD-biologicals, actually-and he will use them on your troops.'"
